La Rose de Versailles Exhibition

Taking place during the tumultuous times of the French Revolution, La Rose de Versailles is a manga about Oscar, who is actually a woman disguised in men's clothing, and Marie Antoinette, the Queen of France. The story's characters insist on adhering to their love and beliefs even while being pushed and pulled about by the whims of fate, which has attracted many fans and even led to the production of a musical version by the Takarazuka Revue.

We selected about 300 of the most famous scenes in the manga and divided them into two groups for the exhibition. From the subtlety of the lines to the brightness of the colors, you can feel the impact and immediacy of each scene as can only be felt in the originals. We hope that you enjoy the brilliant and beautiful world of La Rose de Versailles.
