Details This exhibition commemorates the 25th anniversary for one of the Manga artist whose name is Rieko Saibara. Lots of her works have been made into anime and movies, for instance "Mainichi Kasan" which was serialized in Mainich-newspepar and "Ikechan to Boku"which has been appraised as a picture book with most touching story. Original works and reference photos used in making the manga will be showcased in the gallery. Limited goods will also be on sale. Do not miss it!

Title The Genealogy of Figurines-From Dogu earthenware figures to Kaiyodo's figurines

Details Manga and figurines share a colse relationship. In this exhibition, we will thoroughly introduce the Kaiyodo Corporation, a company whose name is associated with modern figurine culture and high value around the world. At the figure going back to the times of the hitogata (human figure) period, through artifacts such as dogu (earthenware figures) and haniwa (terracotta clay figures).

Details Yanase Takashi is immensely famous as the creator of the children's series Anpanman. But his world consists of much more than that alone. His is an artist who exhibits a diverse range of talents from his original departure as a creator of manga aimed towrds adults, to his work as a poet, screenwriter, editor and character designer. We welcome adults and children alike, to come and rediscover Yanase Takashi's world.
