RANGE MURATA: rm drawing works

Murata Range, alias rm, is a very popular and charismatic illustrator.

We are organizing an exhibition introducing his beautiful illustrated work, which has many ardent followers both domestic and abroad.

Earlier exhibitions at the Manga Museum have allowed guests to not just enjoy the finished product, but to have a look behind the scenes, at the work in progress.

Through this exhibition you can see it, too. We will exhibit valuable pencil illustrations (original drawing), colored versions, so guests can appreciate his works and the process leading up to finish.

10am - 6 pm (Admission until 5:30pm)
Regularly Scheduled closures on Wednesday
*However no closures and extend closed time until 8pm (admission until 7:30pm) form July 14 to August 31.

Painting event
RANGE MURATA: rm drawing works

We have also invited Mr. Murata in person, and are organizing a live painting event where guests can watch him at work, and are provided with an authentic look behind the scenes where they can experience the atmosphere of the atelier.

Murata Range

Since starting out working on character design for martial arts games in 1993, Murata Range's illustrations have been published in various different magazines and he continues to challenge himself in new domains such as 3D character design. His illustrations, which make use of exceptional drawing techniques to combine the themes of girls and retro style mecha have received high acclaim throughout Japan as well as abroad. In recent years he has also begun working as a fashion designer.
